The offices of a Derngate based charity, The Friendship Zone, has had its glass door smashed by person or persons unknown three nights before Christmas. The culprits used half a brick in what is believed to be a deliberate attack on the charity!

The Friendship Zone is the brainchild of director Paul Kuznecovs, and its purpose is to promote friendship and help people to achieve their dreams.

The charity also works with Future Job Fund which helps reduce unemployment among youngsters. It provides them with various trainings and in turn helps them run and manage the Friendship Zone. Although the charity has only been involved with this initiative for a month it has trained ten youngsters in effort to get them into work.

With regards to the attack, Mr Kuznecovs comments were “ on the one hand I feel very upset that someone should dare to attack a charity just before Christmas, but on the other hand I hope it will send a message to the Local Authorities and maybe even increase public awareness about our charity and what we do for the community!"

The Friendship Zone is currently continuing its objective to help people in and around Northamptonshire to achieve their dreams. They are currently looking to expand Friendship Zone’s number of users so that they are able to interact, converse and make more friends. Please visit the website www.friendship-zone.com to find out more.
